A Calumet Park woman accused of leaving her pit bull outside during the brutal cold spell in early January was charged Monday with animal cruelty after the dog died of hypothermia, authorities said. Tracy Cherry, 46, of the 1400 block of West 123rd Street, was charged with misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty and failing owner’s duties, a statement from the Cook County Sheriff’s office said.
