A Lynwood man and former village clerk who was driving the wrong way when he caused a fatal collision on Route 394 in 2011 has pleaded guilty to DUI and been sentenced to prison. Roel N. Valle, 64, was the Lynwood village clerk when he was charged in March 2011 in connection with a crash that killed 32-year-old Melikah Little. Valle was charged with reckless homicide while operating a vehicle, and aggravted DUI causing death and aggravated DUI causing great bodily harm, according to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office.
